David Montgomery Number

David Montgomery is an American football running back for the Detroit Lions in the NFL. The Chicago Bears selected Montgomery as their 73rd pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Montgomery recorded 889 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. Montgomery was awarded the Brian Piccolo Award twice in 2019 and 2022 respectively. During his breakout sophomore season in 2017, Montgomery recorded 104 forced missed tackles, which broke the previous record held by Dalvin Cook with 89. The following season, Montgomery recorded 1216 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, which were second to Alex Barnes and Sam Ehlinger in the Big-12. He also received First-team All-Big-12 and Second-team All-Big-12 in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
