
Deion Sanders, also affectionately called 'Prime Time', is a former American football cornerback and baseball outfielder. The two-time Super Bowl champion played nine seasons in Major League Baseball. The Atlanta Falcons drafted him in the 1989 NFL draft with the 5th overall pick. Sanders played 14 seasons in the NFL for different teams like the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins (now Washington Commanders), and Baltimore Ravens. Sanders was also selected to eight Pro Bowls. The Florida State product was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
Sanders continued his multi-sport association in college with the Florida State Seminoles, where he was part of their football, baseball, and track teams. Sanders is also the only player to have ever played in a Super Bowl as well as a World Series in baseball. Although he retired from professional sports in 2005, Sanders worked as an NFL and SEC Network analyst. He later went on to coach different high school and college teams from 2012 to 2022, before getting a big head coaching opportunity in 2023 with the Colorado Buffaloes.
