Deion Sanders played in three different decades (the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s). Deion is the only athlete who part-timed and played baseball and football. Sanders played various positions with equal dedication and poise and has a flamboyant style on-and-off the field.


Sanders was born in 1967. His birthplace was Fort Myers, Florida. Sanders was a two-time All-American while representing Florida State University. Jackson State University, a Mississippi HBCU, hired Sanders as head football coach in 2017. In his first two seasons, the Tigers were 27-5 and won the SWAC championship in 2020.
