In his 14-year NFL career, Deion went on to accumulate more than 5,700 yards through punt returns and kickoff returns. How many Super Bowls did Deion Sanders win?

Sanders made it to the Super Bowl twice in his career, winning both times. Deion Sanders' rings came in back-to-back years, although with different teams. Sanders won his first title — in Super Bowl XXIX with the San Francisco 49ers. He logged one interception while leading the 49ers to a 49-26 victory.

Sanders’ subsequent free agency was dubbed “Deion Sweepstakes”. Eventually, the Dallas Cowboys won the sweepstakes.

That Cowboys squad ultimately won Super Bowl XXX against Pittsburgh Steelers, their last Super Bowl as of 2024. Sanders caught one pass for 47 yards and returned one punt for 11 yards, en route to a 27-17 victory.

Super Bowl XXIX - San Francisco 49ers (1994)

Deion Sanders joined the San Francisco 49ers as a one-year rental after five years with the Atlanta Falcons. However, the season turned out to be one of his best.

He became the first player with multiple 90+ yard returns. He recorded six interceptions and returned them for 303 yards which was first in the NFL. His average of 50.5 yards per return has never been equaled, to this day. Sanders was voted the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1994.

In the Super Bowl, he continued his spectacular play, recording an end zone interception in a blowout fourth quarter, as the 49ers beat the San Diego Chargers 49-26.

Super Bowl XXX - Dallas Cowboys (1995)

The next season, Sanders left San Francisco and signed with the Dallas Cowboys after the Deion Sanders sweepstakes. The teams in contention included Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, and the eventual winners, the Dallas Cowboys.

Sanders signed with Dallas as the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL. The move was due to three main reasons: a chance to be involved in the offense, a chance to win back-to-back Super Bowls, and his friendship with Michael Irvin.

In the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh, both of his playstyle wishes came true. Prime Time returned a punt for 11 yards, as well as caught a 47-yard reception on offense that gave the Cowboys their first touchdown. The game was eventually won by Dallas 27-17.
