American footballer Demetrius Knight Jr. is a 25-year-old (as of April 2025) linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals snagged him in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft with the 39th overall pick. Prior to that, he represented the South Carolina Gamecocks. With a height of 6 feet and 2 inches, Knight Jr. stole a win for South Carolina by defeating arch-rival Clemson, stopping quarterback Cade Klubnik with 12 seconds of the game remaining. He also snatched a win against Vanderbilt by scoring seven tackle points in a 28-7 win. While representing the Charlotte 49ers, Knight Jr. attained 96 tackles, with six being for loss, a touchdown, and three interceptions.

Named as AAC Defensive Player of the Week for securing a win against East Carolina by 10-7, Knight Jr. started his college football career in 2019, as per his college roster page. Being an unranked player, he played four years from 2019 to 2022 for Georgia Tech, followed by a switch to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2023. Undergoing a 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds, he appeared in a total of 36 games for Georgia Tech, notching 51 tackles and completing one pass for four yards.

Locust Grove is the hometown of Knight Jr., as per the NFL website. He started his college career in 2019 by playing as a quarterback for Georgia Tech. By the end of 2022, he put his name under the NCAA Transfer Portal and got transferred to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He played college football for the Charlotte 49ers for around one year and again entered his name under the transfer portal. He later shifted to the University of South Carolina.
