The 27-year-old (as of March 2025) DK Metcalf is a professional American football wide receiver who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers as of March 2025. Metcalf’s professional career started after he landed in Seattle in 2019 when the Seattle Seahawks grabbed him in the 2nd round of the 2019 NFL draft with the 64th overall pick. DK's rookie campaign was a resounding success as he reached the 900-receiving yards mark. From there on, Metcalf's production trajectory only went up as he put up three 1k yards seasons in the next five years. He has been selected on a Pro Bowl roster twice along with one Second-team All-Pro honors.

Revisiting his collegiate career, Metcalf committed to the Ole Miss Rebels football program, where he played from 2016 until the end of the 2018 season. Metcalf’s three years at Ole Miss saw him take the field 21 times in three years, during which he had two seasons where he eclipsed 550 or more receiving yards. His most productive year in Rebels uniform came in 2017 when he put up career-best (at college level) 646 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns.

Before that, Metcalf dealt with a chest rib bruise, knee sprain, foot injury, knee strain, and abdomen muscle pull during his time in the NFL. In 2018, Metcalf sustained a season-ending Cervical Neck Fracture and in 2016, he endured a Pedal Foot Fracture which ultimately caused him to miss the season (via Draft Sharks).

Metcalf suffered a Grade I rib injury which led to him being inactive in week 7 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Knee Patella Sprain Grade I (2022)

Metcalf sustained this injury after tumbling onto his left knee on October 23, 2022.

Pedal Foot Unspecified Grade I (2021)

Metcalf's foot ailment was mentioned in the Seahawks' Week 4 injury report of 2021, and it plagued him for the entire season.

Knee Unspecified Strain Grade I (2019)

During the 2019 preseason, Metcalf sustained a grade I knee injury.

Abdomen Muscle Sprain/Pull Unspecified Grade I (2019)

Metcalf missed some preseason action in 2019 due to a minor oblique injury he sustained on August 3, 2019.
