Three-time Super Bowl winner football tight end Joseph Demarius “Jody” Fortson Jr. was signed as an undrafted agent by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. After shuffling from the practice squad and active roster for five seasons, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins. However, Fortson remains a released player just after six months with the Dolphins as of September 2024. Growing up in New York, he attended South Park High School. Fortson was a versatile player who could play as a wide receiver and linebacker as well.

Fortson committed to Erie Community College in 2015 where he played as both quarterback and wide receiver. After one season, Fortson was recruited by Valdosta State University playing for the State Blazers. He concluded his college career with 37 receptions for 477 yards and 7 touchdowns in 19 games for the Blazers as per the college website.
