Joseph Demarius "Jody" Fortson Jr. is a professional American football tight end who, as of 2024, is a free agent. Fortson was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2019. During his rookie season, Fortson was waived and signed off to the practice squad but he resigned with the Chiefs the following year. In 2021, Fortson extended his contract with the Chiefs and played in the regular season. Fortson concluded the 2021 season with five receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns in six games. The following season, Fortson played in 13 games, recorded nine receptions for 108 yards and scored two touchdowns. In 2023, Fortson was placed on the injured reserve which restricted his play.
