Joe Montana is a former professional American footballer who played for the San Francisco 49ers as a quarterback in the national football league (NFL). Montana’s professional career started in the year 1979 where he played with the San Francisco 49ers for 14 seasons.

In the 1980 season in a 38-35 victory game against the New Orleans Saints where in the following game he marked his first fourth quarter comeback victory in his NFL career. After continuing his brilliant performance throughout the season Montana recorded for 1,795 yards and 15 touchdowns. Joe Montana started his second season in 1981 on a high note where he showcased brilliant performances week after week and this season became the franchise’s most successful season. In Super Bowl XVI in a 26-21 game against the Cincinnati Bengals where in the following game he recorded 14 of 22 passes for 157 yards with one rushing touchdown and because of this performance he won the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award.

Montana after performing excellently in the next season for the San Francisco 49ers recorded 3,910 yards and 26 touchdowns. In Super Bowl XIX in a 38-16 game against the Dolphins where in the following game he recorded three touchdowns and completed 24 passes and because of this performance he earned his second Super Bowl MVP award. In the following seasons, he reached career heights with the 49ers and was showing that he is one of the greatest quarterbacks. The 49ers looked forward to becoming the first NFL team to win 3 straight Super Bowls. In a 15-13 game against the New York Giants in the NFC Championship where in the following game he got injured and missed the entire 1991 season and most of the 1992 season too.

After playing with the San Fransisco 49ers for 14 seasons he was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs where he signed a deal of three years of worth $10 million. In the 1993 season Chiefs won 13 games and Montana performed excellently throughout the season and due to that he was also selected to his final Pro Bowl. On April 18, 1995, Montana announced his retirement at Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco.

Joe Montana was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1956. Currently he is 67 years old. The young player first came into the NFL as a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers at the age of 23.

Before his journey in the NFL began Montana played college football in Notre Dame and in a 21-14 victory game against North Carolina Montana had 129 passing yards. Montana graduated from Notre Dame with a degree in business administration and marketing. After playing all these years for the San Francisco 49ers selected Montana at the end of the third round with the 82nd overall pick.

He weighs around 93 kg and is 6 feet 2 inches tall. He has been married three times he divorced his first spouse after three years of marriage then married another woman and after another three years he married a supermodel namely Jenifer Montana and is still married to her and additionally they had four kids together. Montana owns horses and also has his own wine company.
