Kareem Hunt is an American professional running back who began his second stint with the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season. As per Spotrac, he signed a one-year $1,210,000 contract in 2014, kicking off his second spell with the Chiefs. He was selected in the third round as the 86th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He concluded his first two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs with 2,151 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2017. In 2019, he joined the Cleveland Browns and spent the next five seasons with them. As of January 2025, Hunt has recorded 5,164 rushing yards, with 64 total touchdowns (via ESPN).

Kareem Hunt played collegiate football for the Toledo Rockets. In his four seasons with the program, Hunt recorded 4,945 rushing yards, 555 receiving touchdowns with 45 total touchdowns, as per Sports Reference. Hunt finished his freshman year with 866 yards on 137 carries with six touchdowns in 2013. He enjoyed his best season in his sophomore year, when he rushed for 1,631 yards on 205 carries and recorded a career-high 16 touchdowns. Hunt decided to join the University of Toledo in Ohio for his college education in 2013. He received offers from Akron, Ball State, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Minnesota and Ohio among others, as per 247Sports. He played for the Toledo Rockets football team where he played in 11 games during his freshman year, as per Sports Reference.

Hunt finished his rookie campaign rushing for 866 yards and six rushing touchdowns in 2013. The Willoughby native had his best season as a ball carrier in his sophomore year. He finished the year with 1,631 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground despite missing three games due to an ankle injury. In 2015, suspension and injuries caused him to miss 4 games of his junior year. Nevertheless, he still finished the year strong with 973 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns, as per Toledo Rockets' official wesbite.

In 2016, his senior year of college he finished the year strong with 1,475 rushing yards, and 10 touchdowns on the ground. His 41 receptions yielded him another 403 yards and another touchdown on the receiving end, as per ESPN.

Kareem Hunt went to South High School where he set the all-time rushing record for Lake County. During his senior year, he rushed for 2,685 yards and totalled 44 touchdowns. As a junior, he tallied 2,519 rushing yards and 39 touchdowns while earning first-team all-conference honors, as per Toldeo Rockets' official website.
