Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr. is an American football quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, as of the 2024 NFL season. The Ravens selected him with the 32nd overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. According to Spotrac, he signed a five-year contract extension with the team worth $260 million. Notably, Jackson has won both the NFL Most Valuable Player award and the Bert Bell Award twice, in 2019 and 2023. He has also been named First-team All-Pro thrice in 2019, 2023 and 2024. Additionally, he was selected for the Pro Bowl three times, in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024. As of January 2025, Jackson threw for 20,059 yards with 166 passing touchdowns and 49 interceptions (via ESPN).

Before entering the NFL, Jackson played football for the Louisville Cardinals, representing the University of Louisville from 2015 to 2017. According to Sports Reference, he recorded over 9,000 passing yards, 69 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. He also earned several accolades, including the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Award, all in 2016. During his high school years, he attended Boynton Beach Community High School, where he played football.

According to Draftsharks, Jackson suffered an ankle sprain during Week 14's loss to the Browns during the 2021 NFL season, causing him to miss the rest of the season. In the 2022 NFL season, he sustained a PCL sprain in his knee, which led to him missing the final six games, including the Wild Card matchup against Cincinnati.

Ankle Injury (2021)

In December during the 2021 NFL season, Jackson suffered a season-ending ankle injury in a game against the Cleveland Browns after being hit by Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. In the 12 games he played that season, he recorded 2,882 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

Knee injury (2022)

During the 2022 season, in a Week 13 game against the Denver Broncos, Jackson sprained his PCL after being sacked by Jonathon Cooper. As a result of the injury, he missed the final five regular-season games. Jackson finished the regular season with 2,242 passing yards, 17 touchdown passes, and 7 interceptions, along with 764 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns.
