Lavonte Lamar David is an American football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. The Buccaneers selected him as the 58th pick in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He started all 16 games of the regular 2012 NFL season, recording 139 total and 112 solo tackles. This earned him a spot in the PFWA All-Rookie Team 2012. David was named to his first and only Pro Bowl, as he combined for 147 tackles (career-high) in 2015. He won the Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, by contributing six tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs. In his 12 years in the NFL (by the end of the 2023 season), David has started all 181 games he has appeared in.
