Randy Moss is a former professional American footballer who played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Moss's professional career started in the year 1998 when he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings as the 21st overall pick of the NFL draft 1998.

He signed a deal of four years worth $4.5 million with the Minnesota Vikings and In a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he made his NFL debut the following game he recorded four receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings won 31-7. He scored his first NFL reception in the third game and his first touchdown was a 48-yard reception. He was named to his first Pro Bowl and also won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year at the end of the 1998 season. In the following season, he continued to play brilliantly week after week and he finished the next season with a career-high 1,437 yards and 15 touchdown receptions.

In 2001 Randy Moss signed a deal of 8 years of worth $75 million with the Vikings and the Vikings completed the following season with a record of 5-11. He started out the 2004 season on a high note and at the end of the season he was traded to the Oakland Raiders. He made his team debut in a game against the New England Patriots but he was not happy during his time with the Oakland Raiders and was losing many games then got drafted in the 2007 NFL draft and the 2 teams who were interested in Moss were the Patriots and the Packers. Moss became excited to join a brand new team so he signed a new deal of one year with the Patriots and in a game against the New York Jets he made his team debut. In a game against the Buffalo Bills, he caught a career high 4 touchdowns in the first half and earned AFC Player of the Week because of his performance.

In 2008 he signed a deal of 3 years of worth $27 million with the Patriots and in the following seasons, he reached career heights with the team. Moss was traded to the Minnesota Vikings during the 2011 NFL draft and also played eight games with the Tennessee Titans. He retired from the NFL on August 1, 2006, however, came out of his retirement on his 35th birthday. He signed a deal of one year with the San Francisco 49ers in 2012 and he completed the subsequent season with 28 catches for 434 yards and three touchdowns.
