After being used as a reserve defensive back and on-kick returnee, Mondon Jr. became a regular in the lineup since his 2022 season at the linebacker position, as per Georgia Athletics. Mondon Jr. led the team in tackles in 2022 and was second on the team in 2023, with 68 tackles, as reported by Georgia Athletics. The two-time College Football Playoff National Champion earned a 72.4 grade from Pro Football Focus (PFF) for his 2024 season campaign.
