Trent Williams is an American footballer who plays as an offensive tackle in the National football league (NFL). Moss's career began in the year 2010 when he was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the first round as the 4th overall pick of the NFL draft 2010.


He signed a deal of six years of worth $60 million with the Washington Redskins and was named offensive co-captain with Santana Moss in 2011. He was suspended for four games in 2011 due to failed drug tests. In the following season, he suffered many injuries consisting of bone bruises and knee problems, however, he performed well in the 2012 season and was selected for the 2013 Pro Bowl however he could not participate due to an injury caused by a nightclub fight. He was also fined $7,875 for striking Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman after a playoff loss in 2013.


He was named to the 2014 Pro Bowl team, despite the Redskins' challenging season. In 2019 he underwent surgery to remove a cancerous growth and was very angry with the Redskins medical staff for how they handled the situation. Because of this, he demanded to be released or traded by the Redskins and was placed on the reserve list in 2019.


The redskin traded Williams to the San Francisco 49ers in 2020 and he was placed on the COVID-19 list and injured reserve during the 2020 season. He was elected to his eighth Pro Bowl in 2020 with the 49ers. He signed a deal for six more years of worth $138.6 million with the 49ers in 2021 becoming the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL. In 2023 he was ejected during the NFC Championship in 2023 for slamming an opponent after a little fight.

Trent Williams was born in Longview, Texas on July 19, 1988. Currently he is 35 years old. The player first came into the NFL when he was selected by the Washington Redskins at the age of 22. He attended Longview high school where he played for Longview Lobos high school football team.


Before his journey inside the NFL began Williams played college football with the Oklahoma Sooners football team on the University of Oklahoma. In his sophomore year in 2008, he performed in all 14 games and was named to the 2009 Outland Trophy watch list.



Williams and his NFL friend Adrian Peterson co-own a gym in Houston. Williams's nickname is “Silverback” because he has a large gorilla tattoo on his back. He is a subject of a documentary namely “Silverback” which was released in December 2021 that covers his comeback to the NFL after a life-ending sarcoma on his scalp. He weighs around 145 and is 6 feet 5 inches and is not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.
