Green Bay Packers' seasoned quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, will have the opportunity to assert his power once more against the Chicago Bears after suffering a damaged thumb and now a rib issue that forced him to depart their most recent game.

Rodgers stated on Tuesday that he intends to play on Sunday after getting "excellent news" on his tests in his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."

With what was reportedly an oblique injury, Rodgers departed Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles during the third quarter. After the incident, he described it as a problem with his rib in his media briefing. After a few hits throughout the game, he claimed he was having trouble breathing.

The player said he'd participate if he could, irrespective of the team's record (the Packers are 4-8) and indicated that he is determined to win the final five games.

He stated, referring to the team's minimal likelihood of making the playoffs:

"We're not eliminated yet. We have the opportunity to run the final five and assess our position after that. That is my main concern. To visit one of my favorite venues in Chicago, where I'm hoping for a great victory."

Additionally, Aaron Rodgers disclosed last week that he has been performing with a broken thumb since Week 5.

Aaron Rodgers' stats and fantasy prediction

Even though he may be in discomfort, Aaron Rodgers will start the game as he vowed during the week. Before what is effectively a must-win contest against the Chicago Bears, he handled limited drills on Thursday and Friday in the hopes that he can play with his two injuries and keep Green Bay Packers in the postseason contention.

The player has faced the Bears five times previously. He has averaged 244.2 passing yards per contest with 17 overall touchdown passes and zero interceptions.

He has produced 33 and 26 fantasy points in his last two appearances against the Chicago Bears; let's be hopeful he can maintain that level as we advance.

Three of the previous five callers against Chicago have scored a minimum of 29 Fantasy points, and the Bears recently lost star safety Eddie Jackson to injury. In all forms, fantasy owners should start Rodgers with trust.
