Ronda Rousey lost the WWE RAW Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35. It's been a year since she last entered the ring after suffering from a hand injury during the match.

Fans have continued to speculate about when Rousey will return to the ring. Recently, The Rowdy One teased a return to WWE with the following post on Twitter:

One of my fav matches - such a huge challenge in so many ways, what a crazy day 🥋❤️ looking forward to a rematch someday @NatbyNature!

By stating that she’s looking forward to a rematch against Natalya, Rousey has opened the doors for her return. This would be good news for the WWE Universe.

Back in May, Triple H revealed that the company would love to have Rousey back.

"Of course, we want her. Of course, we do. One of the greatest performers for us ever. We still have a great relationship on everything [with Ronda], and when she is ready, absolutely [we'll have her back]."

Since Rousey has been extremely active on her YouTube channel and social media account, her return to wrestling could have a massive impact on the entire industry. With that in mind, let's look at six opponents The Baddest Woman on the Planet could face upon her return to WWE.

#6. Bianca Belair vs. Ronda Rousey

Bianca Belair was one of the most impressive WWE Superstars during her time in WWE NXT and she has been trying to replicate her performances on WWE RAW. Belair never won the NXT women's title during her time on the black and gold brand. However, she managed to prove that she’s extremely talented in some entertaining title matches.

Belair is also one of the most powerful women in WWE, and she has never shied away from showcasing her strength in the ring. Ronda Rousey will be looking for some tough challenges, and she could run into Belair if she returns to WWE RAW.

Belair has delivered good matches against women like Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley, and she could do the same against Rousey. WWE has trusted Belair to work with its top women including Charlotte Flair. They could once again if they give her a chance against Rousey early on once she returns.

#5. Rhea Ripley vs. Ronda Rousey

Rhea Ripley is one of the baddest women in all of NXT. After she won NXT Women’s Championship, she proved that she is ready for the big leagues. Several WWE Superstars have praised Ripley’s in-ring abilities and Rousey has been vocal about her desire to face Ripley in WWE someday.

During an interview with Corey Graves on After the Bell, Rousey opened up about the idea of facing The Nightmare soon.

“Oh, my God. Rhea Ripley, she is doing amazing. I would love to be in a match with her someday. She matches up with everybody so differently, and there are so many things that she could really pull out of people that they can’t do with anybody else.”

Speaking to Sport Bible, the former NXT Women’s Champion also showed interest in working with Rousey.

"Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I would love to fight Ronda Rousey," the NXT women's champ said.
"It would be incredible. It's funny because before I made it to NXT, I would watch her on UFC and I'm like, 'This chick's bada*s. She's so cool. Like, I wanna be like her.'
"And then my friends were like, 'Your sort of like her. You guys seem exactly the same, you act the same, you both love Vegeta. Like, you guys are pretty much the same person.'
"So, if I could share the ring with her one day, I would probably be the happiest girl ever [laughs]."

So, this is a dream match that both WWE Superstars are looking forward to. WWE could give Rousey what she wants once she decides to enter the squared circle again.

#4. Shayna Baszler vs. Ronda Rousey

During her first run with WWE, Ronda Rousey faced some of the biggest and toughest female Superstars on WWE RAW. This included women like Nia Jax, Natalya, and Sasha Banks.

Fans finally witnessed a historic moment when Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair competed in the main event at WrestleMania 35. However, a match between Rousey and Shayna Baszler is another potential dream match.

Baszler was the most legitimate badass in WWE before Rousey walked in. The Queen of Spades has continued to be a dominant force since her move to WWE RAW.

In an interview with The A Show, Baszler revealed whether she’d like to team up with Rousey or face her one-on-one.

“We’re a team. We’ve always had each other’s back. That’s the argument we have when people want to say that we’re not the real Four Horsewomen. We’re an actual team. A win for her is a win for all of us [MMA Four Horsewomen]. I don’t have any plans on feudng with her… We were in the UFC together when she was champ and we always said ‘if it ends up [being between them], it’s not going to necessarily be a feud.’ I liken it to when a linebacker has a best [friend] who is a quarterback. You’re gonna try to drive them into the ground even harder just because that’s your friend. If it ends up that way, it’s gonna be a banger for sure but I’m not gunning to dethrone her. We’re not gonna need counselling to be friends again or anything like that [laughs].”

The Rowdy One has been open to having a match against Baszler. It's possible that WWE could be saving The Queen of Spades’ rise to the top for Rousey’s return.

#3. Bayley vs. Ronda Rousey

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley, is one of the longest-tenured Superstars on the women's roster. Along with Asuka, she’s the only woman in the company who has become a Grand Slam Champion, holding ever active women's title.

In January 2019, Bayley competed in her first singles match against Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship. Even though The Role Model tried her best to take The Baddest Woman on the Planet down, Rousey eventually forced her to submit.

Bayley was a babyface at that time, but she has transformed into the best heel in the women’s division since. This turn has allowed her to explore a new role on WWE programming and become a bigger star.

Rousey has faced the old Bayley in the ring, so it would be great to see her take on the new version upon her return. SmackDown is now airing on the FOX Network, and Rousey could be drafted to the blue brand to boost its viewership.

If that turns out to be the case, Bayley vs. Rousey could be one of the biggest rivalries on Friday nights.

#2. Alexa Bliss vs. Ronda Rousey

Alexa Bliss was the WWE RAW Women’s Champion when Ronda Rousey set her eyes on her title in 2018. Rousey defeated Bliss for the title at SummerSlam and held it for 231 days before she lost it to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35.

While Rousey has been on a hiatus since The Goddess has accomplished a lot with WWE. She hosts her own talk show, and she became a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Nikki Cross.

Bliss was initially portraying a babyface character until a run-in with "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. Now, Bliss is slowly changing into a completely different character and teasing a potential heel turn.

Her new darker persona could help her bring something new to WWE. Fans could see her take part in some big matches and earn dominant victories.

If that turns out to be the case for the WWE SmackDown Superstar, the Bliss could target Rousey when she returns to the ring. Bliss wasn’t able to put up much resistance against Rousey during their initial face-offs, but her new character could prove to be a handful for The Rowdy One.

#1. Asuka vs. Ronda Rousey

When Ronda Rosey does return to WWE, she will probably aim to regain the WWE RAW Women’s Championship, which is currently held by Asuka. As noted, Rousey lost the title to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35, and The Man held the title for over a year before she relinquished it to The Empress of Tomorrow.

Rousey is a top name in the industry and a true draw. WWE will likely want to put her back in the title picture if she returns to the company. It didn't take her long to win the RAW Women’s Championship for the first time, and she could look to secure the title again.

With that in mind, Asuka can be the perfect opponent for Rousey as the two women have never had a match together. The Empress of Tomorrow has been a dominant force with WWE, and a face-off with Rousey would a fresh and exciting match-up for the WWE Universe.

An extended rivalry against The Baddest Woman on the Planet will also help Asuka cement herself as a major WWE Superstar.
