WNBA fans reacted to Angel Reese sinking half court shots ahead of game vs Wings

As Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky were getting ready to face the Dallas Wings for the second time in the season, she left WNBA fans in awe as she drained a half-court shot during practice.

The Chicago Sky official X handle posted a video of Angel Reese attempting the half-court shot with her teammates. She made a running shot from the half-court and started dancing as her teammates gathered around her hyping up.

WNBA fans also reacted to the video. While some were impressed, some of the fans felt Reese's shot release wasn't very good.

Alluding to Reese's shooting form, one fan trolled the Chicago Sky star.

"Travis Scott is her shooting coach," wrote a fan.
"ook at the way she shot that, pure magnet shot," another fan wrote.

There were also some fans who said the shot was made during practice and didn't need that much hyping.

"Angel is my girl, but I want to see her do this in the game," another fan added.
"Hyping this shit up like it happened in game," said yet another fan.
"Ain’t no way yall posted a practice shot, if this was in a game sure but my goodness," wrote a fan.

However, there were also fans who praised Reese after watching the video. A fan said Angel Reese is set to prove her critics wrong as she progresses in her career.

"She be hooping and loving haters wrong," a fan wrote.

Angel Reese celebrates her graduation with a clap back at haters

Angel Reese posted a series of pictures on her social media on Saturday, celebrating her graduation day.

The Chicago Sky star, who was selected No. 7 in the 2024 WNBA Draft, also took the perfect opportunity to take her shot at the critics who had raised questions about her academic performance.

"So now what? what was said? oh okay that's what I thought," Reese captioned the photos. "I graduated from THE LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY IN 4 YEARS ON TIME. I thought somebody without a college degree said sum," she wrote in the caption.

Interestingly, when Reese was benched last November by her LSU coach Kim Mulkey, Reese's mother Angel Webb Reese and Kia Brooks, mother of Reese’s former LSU teammate Flau'jae Johnson, were involved in an online spat.

In a heated exchange between the two mothers, Brooks had made a comment about Reese's academic performance.

"You definitely know about grammar errors when your daughter got a 2.0 or less GPA...Stop being petty, fake and hateful. And take responsibility for you and your daughter's actions."

Meanwhile, Reese has continued to taste every bit of success at the highest level. She has left her early mark in the league as well as in the entertainment industry. She appeared in the Met Gala in New York, she bagged an early fashion project with Good American. Now, she is working hard to win the Rookie of The Year award this season.
