IPL 6: Match 52 – RR vs DD – A statistical preview

In the 11 matches played between the Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals, the former has a 6-5 win-loss ratio in its favour. Earlier in the season when the two teams met, it was RR who on the back of Rahul Dravid’s 65 posted a decent target of 165 and then restricted the Delhi Daredevils to 160, winning by five runs.

Apart from Chennai Super Kings, Royals are the only other team that have three batsmen who have scored in access of 300 runs this season – Shane Watson, Rahul David and Ajinkya Rahane.

The four teams who are tied at second spot with 14 points- Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad – are yet to lose a game at home.

This season so far, Daredevils are the only team to have been bowled out twice for less than 100.

Of all the teams competing in IPL this season, Royals are the team who have relied the most on their fast bowlers. Out of the 209.5 overs bowled by the Rajasthan Royals bowlers, 171.3 overs have been by their pace bowlers.

What’s next in store for teams: After consecutive home matches, Rajasthan Royals will travel to Mohali to take on resurgent Kings XI Punjab on May 9.

Meanwhile Delhi Daredevils head back to Delhi for their home fixture; they take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore the following day.
