"Born losers" - Top 10 funny memes as SRH beat RCB in the final to win Kite festival of IPL teams in Ahmedabad

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) suffered yet another defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a final, this time in a Kite flying festival. IPL broadcaster Star Sports organized the event between the 10 participating franchises in Ahmedabad.

After an intense competition, RCB and SRH prevailed to meet each other in a summit clash. In a repeat of the 2016 IPL final, SRH emerged victorious as they beat the Royal Challengers in the Kite Flying Festival on Saturday (January 13).

Fans took note of the event, and it expectedly reminded them of the IPL 2016 final match between the two teams.

The Sunrisers batted in that contest at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and notched up a mammoth total of 208/7 in 20 overs. David Warner (68) led his side from the front with an aggressive half-century, while Yuvraj Singh (38) and Ben Cutting (39*) played blazing cameos.

In response, the Bangalore side got off to a sensational start, with Virat Kohli (54) and Chris Gayle (76) putting on a 114-run partnership in just 10.3 overs. After his heroics with the bat, Ben Cutting turned it around again with the ball for SRH by dismissing Gayle in the 11th over.

Things went south for RCB from there as their batters failed to step up under pressure. They could only reach 200/7 in the end and lost the championship match by 8 runs. Fans drew parallels between both the losses and trolled RCB by sharing memes on social media platforms.
