The Premier League is one of them most watched leagues in the world. It is also one of the most competitive competitions in football making it the most difficult to win. Over the years, some of the best managers have coached in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho, Sir Alex Ferguson, Carlo Ancelotti, are the big names to have coached the best teams in England. There are famous managers who haven’t been as successful as well, which shows you aren’t guaranteed success even if you inherit a good team.

But here are 5 managers who we would definitely like to see manage in the Premier League sometime in their career.

5) Jorge Sampaoli

Jorge Sampaoli

Jorge Sampaoli is one of Marcelo Bielsa’s disciples. The former coach of the Chilean national team employs a high pressing tactic that is a trademark of Bielsa’s philosophy. The coach achieved massive success with the Chilean national during his four spell with them

World football first took notice of Chile’s prowess in 2014 at the FIFA World Cup. They finished second in their group to Netherlands and gave Brazil who were the favourites for the tournament a big scare after the hosts edged the game on penalties.

Sampaoli’s most impressive feat was winning the Copa America in 2015 beating Argentina in the finals. The last four years have seen a remarkable rise in Chilean football. Sampaoli had world class players in Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal who could carry out his tactics extremely well on the pitch because of their high work rate

The Argentine has been linked several times with big names in English Football and it could be a possible he will receive an offer soon after the clubs have seen what he can do on the biggest stage of football.

4) Joachim Loew

Joachim Loew

Joachim Loew has established himself as one of the best National team coaches in the world. The Manager led his Germany team to the FIFA World Cup title in 2014. One of those matches also included an impressive 7-1 demolition of the host nation Brazil.

Loew has brought a remarkable consistency to the German squad. They have regularly performed well in all the major competitions they have been a part off. Loew took over from Jurgen Klinsmann after the 2006 World Cup when they reached the semi-finals.

Since then, Germany reached the finals at Euro 2008 the semis at the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012. Loew is known to promote an attacking brand of football which focuses on possession as well as a speedy counter attack

The manager does not discriminate when it comes to team selection and promotes young talent if they have proved themselves with their respective clubs. The Premier League will no doubt offer a wonderful opportunity for Loew to showcase his tactical ability at club level

3) Unai Emery

Unai Emery

Unai Emery is doing a wonderful job at Sevilla. The Spanish coach’s reputation has risen to new heights after winning back to back Europa League titles with the club. Emery had a short playing career due to an injury which prompted him to take up management as early as 32.

He was given a position at third division club Lorca Deportiva by their club president and helped them achieve promotion in their very first season to the second tier. His achievements with Almeria and Lorca earnt him a move to Valencia.

Valencia qualified for the UEFA Europa League in his very first season despite their financial troubles and then he led them to a 3rd placed finish the next season.Emery’s achievements have been remarkable and he has been able to do a lot with very little.

The manager’s philosophy is very flexible and he knows how to change his tactics depending on the club he manages. The Premier League is no doubt a challenging league to coach in but Emery has the tools to become a huge success at any club.

2) Massimiliano Allegri

Massimiliano Allegri

Allegri is continuing the good work Antonio Conte had done at Juventus. After taking over in 2014, he led Juventus to their 4th consecutive Scudetto but more importantly he helped the club reach their first UEFA Champions League final since 2003.

Sometimes, when a manager comes into a team that is used to winning under their previous coach it isn’t easy to continue to set the same standards for the club but Allegri has done exactly that.

The coach has been praised for his tactical awareness and focus on conserving energy by keeping more possession of the ball. He was the head coach at AC Milan in 2010 before coming to Juventus. At Milan, he helped the club win their first Serie A title in seven years.

Allegri has shown a great level of knowledge about the game. Despite Juve’s poor start to the season this year they now hold a commanding position at the top of Serie A. His ability to get the best out of veteran players is also very admirable.

1) Diego Simeone

Diego Simeone

Simeone is arguably the most sought-after coach in world football after the incredible things he has been able to achieve with Atletico Madrid. The club are inferior to Real Madrid and Barcelona in financial aspects but that hasn’t stopped them from achieving greatness in the past few seasons

Simeone has lifted the club to another level since he took charge in 2010. Atletico are able not only compete but also beat the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid despite their limited resources.

The manager’s bases his style on an extremely strong defence. The club have the best defence in all of Europe this season conceding only 16 goals in La Liga all season. Several big clubs like Chelsea have been after his signature but Simeone insisted he is currently happy in Spain.

Simeone's tactics would definitely work in the Premier League considering the physical nature of the teams. He was chased by Chelsea for a long time this year after Jose Mourinho’s sacking but denied the opportunity to join.

There is no doubt he will be a huge asset to any club he manages and any player would consider themselves lucky to work under his guidance
