David Ginola tips Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho to reunite at Paris Saint-Germain

Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Ginola has tipped Jose Mourinho to be the next manager of the French Champions, as per reports on BT Sport. Ginola believes the Portuguese coach will arrive at Paris in the near future and will be once again be reunited with compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Chelsea manager remains under enormous pressure at Stamford Bridge after his side’s dismal season so far. Mourinho is currently in his second spell with the West London club and despite leading the club to the Premier League title last season comfortably, his future at the club remains a major doubt.

The English champions are languishing at 16th in the league after 12 games and have already suffered 7 defeats. Chelsea have made their worst start to the season in 37 years and there are rumours clouding the club that owner Roman Abramovich is running out of patience with the Portuguese coach and potential replacements are being lined up.

There have been speculations linking Carlo Ancelotti and Guus Hiddink with a return to Stamford Bridge if Mourinho is given the sack by the Russian billionaire.

Ginola, who was a former Tottenham player, has revealed that the Portuguese manager had held discussions with the Ligue 1 side two years prior to current manager Laurent Blanc's appointment.

“I can see Mourinho as the next manager of the team,” he said in an interview.

“So I think there’s going to be a lot of Portuguese in Paris.”

Meanwhile, Mourinho’s countryman, Ronaldo’s future has been subject to intense scrutiny in recent months, with reports in Spain suggesting that the Real Madrid icon could be heading towards the exit in the summer and Los Blancos are willing to let go of him, provided his buy-out clause is activated.

PSG have been pursuing Ronaldo for a while now and given their financial muscle, Ginola believes that the former Manchester United forward will join the club this summer as he requires a ‘new challenge’.

“I see Ronaldo being in Paris next year,” he added.

“Because they have the money and in terms of the challenge to win the Champions League.”

“I know the Qatari investors would like to have Ronaldo at the club, no matter how much it will cost, they will pay for it.”
