This past weekend, Conor McGregor's SBG teammate Kiefer Crosbie captured the RISE FC welterweight championship with a TKO win over UFC veteran Alex 'Cowboy' Oliveira.

Brimming with confidence from the statement win over the former UFC fighter, Crosbie called his shot for an opportunity to step into the big leagues. During his post-fight interview, the 32-year-old called for Dana White to present him with a UFC contract:

"Dana, my name is Kiefer Crosbie yeah, give me that UFC contract now! I’ll fight anybody. Lightweight…welterweight…heavyweight. I don’t give a f**k! Dana, call me, yeah."

At the RISE FC event, the high-octane first round between Crosbie and Oliveira ended with the Irish native closing the show with a series of knees, elbows, and punches.

The SBG pupil currently holds a record of 9-3. Before signing with RISE FC, 'Big Daddy' fought for promotions like Bellator, BMMA, and Battlezone Fighting Championships.

Alex Oliveira holds a 24-13-1 record with two no contests. Starting his UFC career with a losing effort against Gilbert Burns in 2015, the Brazilian graced the famed octagon 22 times in his seven years with the premier promotion.

'Cowboy' has shared the octagon with many an MMA elite, including Donald Cerrone, Gunnar Nelson, and Shavkat Rakhmonov. He also holds a win against former interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit.

Dana Whites explains why Conor McGregor gets special treatment

Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the biggest draw in MMA. The former two-division champion's fights hold four of the top five spots in the UFC's top-selling pay-per-views. The Irishman has a lot of sway in the UFC, and as per Dana White, he rightly deserves it.

During an interview with former two-division champion Daniel Cormier, the UFC president spoke about why the Irishman gets special treatment in the promotion. As per the 55-year-old, unlike many others, 'The Notorious' doesn't shy away from any fight:

"I've said it publicly a million times, Conor McGregor literally would fight anybody. I'm telling you, when we started this thing and when this guy was on his rise and believe me, I've dealt with a f*****g thousand fighters [and they say] ooh this isn't the right fight for me at this time, this isn't that, this isn't this... So, for anybody to point the finger and say, oh this guy is getting special treatment, this guy is special."
