"What's a better call out?" - Sean Strickland brings up Ian Garry's wife reacting to the latter's taunt aimed at Colby Covington

Sean Strickland couldn't help but poke fun at Ian Garry for a recent taunt.

'The Future' has been repeatedly linked to a fight against Colby Covington next. Garry has stated that he's signed a deal to face 'Chaos' at UFC 303 on June 29. However, the former interim champion has failed to sign a deal as of now.

Due to Covington not signing the contract, the Irishman has repeatedly aimed at him on social media. Garry recently took to X with yet another video targeting Covington. In a clip, the welterweight was working from guard and stated in Portuguese:

"Where's Colby? Where are you? Let's go my love!"

Not long after Garry posted that video, former UFC middleweight champion Strickland chimed in. 'Tarzan' has previously gone back and forth with the Irishman in the past, as well as his wife Layla.

On X, Strickland responded to Garry's post. There, he questioned which callout was better, this video, or the Irishman wearing a shirt of Geoff Neal's mug shot before they fought earlier this year. The idea for that shirt famously came from Garry's wife.

On X, the former champion wrote:

"What's a better call out? Slapping a man from missionary or having your wife tell you to wear a shirt with a mug shot on it..."

When will Sean Strickland fight next?

While Ian Garry and Colby Covington are working on scheduling their fight, Sean Strickland already has his official.

Earlier this month, 'Tarzan' signed a deal to return to the cage in early June. At UFC 302, the former middleweight champion will compete for the first time since losing his title against Paulo Costa. Strickland lost the gold in January, after suffering a split-decision loss to Dricus du Plessis.

'The Eraser' enters the matchup off a unanimous decision loss to Robert Whittaker in February. While Strickland first rejected the fight against the Brazilian, he quickly changed his mind after a meeting with the UFC and accepted the bout. With a victory, the former champion hopes to re-enter the title picture.

Furthermore, the UFC 302 bout will be a rare non-title five-round contest. With Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier set to headline the card, the pay-per-view event is shaping up to be a great one.
