#3. UFC could return to China and Singapore in 2023

The UFC reportedly has plans to return to Asia this year as early as August.

According to MMA Ecosystem's Chris Presnell, the promotion is hoping to host a pay-per-view event in China in December. After Yan Xiaonan's victory over Jessica Andrade at UFC 288, the card will likely be headlined by a strawweight title fight between her and Zhang Weili.

Presnell added that the event will likely take place in Shanghai. The trip to China will potentially include the finals of the Road to UFC tournament. The last time the UFC was in China was in 2019 for a Fight Night event.

The promotion is also targeting a return to Singapore on August 26 for a Fight Night event. One fight has been confirmed for the date so far - a bantamweight clash between Rinya Nakamura and Fernie Garcia.

#2. Gervonta Davis cleared of jail time for a domestic battery charge

After recently escaping jail time related to a hit-and-run case from 2020, Gervonta Davis has now been cleared of his domestic battery charges. Vanessa Posso, the woman who was initially pressing charges, opted not to proceed with the prosecution of Davis, as per Florida prosecutors.

Posso, the mother of Davis' child, accused the undefeated boxer of assaulting her at his Parkland, Florida residence. A representative from the Broward County State's Attorney's Office verified that she no longer wishes to pursue the matter.

The misdemeanor charges were dismissed after Davis completed anger management and parenting classes. He had previously entered a not-guilty plea. The incident took place in December last year, where Davis had allegedly struck Posso on the side of her head with a closed fist, leaving a minor cut on the upper lip.

Davis was arrested and later released on a $1,000 bond. After his release, 'Tank' posted on Instagram denying all accusations, but deleted the post soon after.

#1. Dustin Poirier predicts Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

Dustin Poirier knows a thing or two about fighting Conor McGregor, which is why his opinion holds significant weight when it comes to the Irishman's next fight.

The TUF coach vs. coach fight with Michael Chandler, which Dana White has promised will definitely happen, is due sometime this year in November or December.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, 'The Diamond' predicted the fight in favor of McGregor. He said that if 'The Notorious' picks up where he left off, it will not take him more than two rounds to stop Chandler.

"If Conor is who he was before the injury and stuff, I think two rounds, I think the fight is over in two rounds."
