5 feuds for John Cena after Night of Champions

2014 hasn’t been the best year for John Cena. In fact, it hasn’t been a good year for the whole WWE. They have used all kinds of tricks from the bag to ensure that the business is profitable but often forgot about what the fans want.As Night of Champions comes closer, the program between Cena and Lesnar is the backbone of the pay-per-view right now but rather than being another chapter in the feud, it seems to be the conclusion.What this means is that the Cenation leader will have to find a new foe after the Beast and digging deep into the roster, WWE has a lot of possibilities at their disposal so here is a look at some of those names that are more than worthy of working an angle with Cena.

#5 The New Generation

WWE simply have too much talent down in NXT. Names like Adrian Neville, Kevin Steen, Sami Zayn, Hideo Itami and Fergal Devitt has a plethora of independent wrestling experience which makes them too good to be in the developmental system.

The company has tagged them as the ‘New Generation’ on their official site and there are rumors of an invasion angle being worked with these five as a stable.

It will be a dominating stable to say the least but what they need is a good opponent to go against. Rewinding some years back, when WWE had the idea of Nexus, it was Cena who helped the stable to be so successful initially.

Some bad decisions let to the demise of that group but if the company can work well with Cena, ‘New Generation’ could make history.

#4 Sting

Just like the New Generation tease, on another thing that has been making rounds in the Twitter about this week’s Monday Night Raw is Sting’s tweet saying its Showtime along with the dates of the Monday Night Raw.

If this means that the Icon is finally going to make his debut in WWE, the company will have to find him a good opponent.

Earlier, Cena noted that he would love to face Sting making it an ideal situation. Also, the Undertaker - Sting match is not happening anytime soon leaving Cena as the next best option.

It will be a big draw if WWE can make the match happen and knowing Sting, he might not even be in WWE so the hopes for this one should be kept really low.

#3 Seth Rollins

The absence of Ambrose has hurt Rollins big time and he has been on a downward spiral ever since the Lunatic fringe was taken out of television.

Having a feud with Roman Reigns is not doing any good for Mr. Money in the bank. WWE is apparently too high on Reigns to let him lose cleanly which means that Rollins will be sacrificed just like he was at Raw.

However, if the Shield factor is taken away from him, Rollins would be able to pave a new singles path. Cena is an ideal choice for Rollins to feud as he can contrast how better he is in the ring compared to Cena.

They could end the feud with one wins each since it is too early to get Rollins get a win over Cena in a feud or Cena burying Rollins.

#2 Roman Reigns

This is a feud that is sure to headline one of the major pay-per-views in the future. Reigns has been tagged as the successor of Cena by a majority of the WWE fan base and it would only be a matter of time before Reigns lives up to the expectations.

As the Shield documentary in WWE Network noted, just like Cena, Reigns is someone who was driven by sheer passion for the sport.

He didn’t have the experience or technical ability like Rollins and Ambrose but was a quick learner who worked hard.

With such similarities existing between the two waiting to be exposed, it will be a torch passing moment when they finally lock horns in the squared circle.

#1 Triple H

Every single soul in the WWE Universe is aware of the chemistry that Hunter and Cena possess. In the night that Cena destroyed Bray Wyatt, there were a certain amount of tension between the Authority and Cena which could be worked into a storyline.

With the fans still hesitant to accept Cena as a full-fledged face, the Authority might be his best shot to edge closer to that aim.

Hunter alongside Stephanie has been generating a lot of heat from the crowd and any one going against them would be treated with warm hands by the WWE universe.

Also, Stephanie and Cena could have entertaining confrontations in the microphone making it some must watch television.
