WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 15 September, 2014

Cajundome arena in Lafayette, LA will play host to the September 15th edition of WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw. In their last outing, WWE had the season premiere of the show which struck almost all the right chords with the fans. This however has raised the stakes for this episode as it will be the last opportunity that WWE has to breathe some excitement into Night of Champions which is just a week away. There are possibilities of new matches being added to the pay-per-view. Matches in the card are getting some developments as well so here is a look at what all the WWE Universe could expect from the three hour show that WWE would bring from LA.

#6 More NXT?

One of the biggest headlines that came out last week’s RAW was how the NXT superstars stole the show.

The main roster fans were swept away with a sense of awe at when the match actually happened last week and WWE is well aware of the critical acclaim that the superstars got.

This might open the door for more similar matches in the near future. It would be a big exposure for names like Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Tyler Breeze and many more as their talent is pretty much confined to a smaller audience.

Also, NXT superstars are wrestlers that the company could rely on to give a consistent match even if rest of the card is falling apart.

#5 Next Chapter for Midcard titles

All the championships that WWE has at their disposal would be defended in Night of Champions because, well, it is a night for the champions.

Last week, Ziggler brushed against Miz and his stunt double leaking some private photos of Miz which was something creative from the writers. At the same time, Cesaro got an upper hand over his opponent Sheamus which was a bit basic compared to the Intercontinental scenario.

Tag team champions on the other hand didn’t get a credible push for one reason or the other but could see it happening this week.

It’s the last big stage for WWE to build up their title matches and fans would be hoping for something solid even if it isn’t spectacular.

#4 Bunny > Bellas

Creative’s idea of humor and the WWE Universe’s idea of humor aren’t always on the same side. WWE has messed up a lot of segments due to this but last week on Raw, they sowed the seeds for something potentially good.

Adam Rose’s bunny was seen attacking Heath Slater last week and it seemed more entertaining that the segments that Bellas had in their current feud.

The identity of the bunny is still a mystery but having something good for Slater in the meantime wouldn’t hurt anyone.

There is a word around the block saying that the bunny is none other than Zack Ryder which is good news. However, one thing that WWE should take care of will be to avoid over pushing the Bunny and letting it end up with the WWE Championship.

#3 Brays next move

Feud between Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt officially came to an end last week on Raw when the eater of the worlds defeated Jericho in a steel cage match.

It was the best match from the series that the two superstars had and Jericho getting booked against Randy Orton means that Bray is left without a feud at this moment. There are rumors making rounds saying Bray is lined up for an Intercontinental title shot against Ziggler.

This would not be a step down for Bray considering his current run, but as a whole, Bray was destined for bigger things.

Now that Ziggler is tied with Miz in an interesting feud, Bray has no void to fill there meaning that he might just miss Night of Champions due to the lack of opponents.

#2 Weird combo tag team

WWE’s efforts to save the sibling feud among Bellas ranged from introducing the Divas title to bringing in Jerry Springer.

The former idea sparked some wide criticism from the WWE Universe as Paige and AJ didn’t need a Bella backing to deliver some credible action. Jerry on the other hand gave a solid segment alongside the Bellas which has urged the WWE to bring him back once again at some point.

The next chapter of this feud is going to be a highly advertised tag team match between the divas where AJ and Brie will face the team of Paige and Nikki.

This might mean that Brie is the victim in the Bella’s feud but AJ and Paige never were enemies to be paired like this. It has all potential to be a disaster thanks to the Bellas but hopefully Paige and AJ would hold up well.

#1 Beast returns

Cena has been stealing the show for the past couple of week in the absence of Brock Lesnar. The Cenation leader is apparently getting a strong push thanks to Vince McMahon and the fans will get to know how strong it is when he comes face to face with Lesnar this week.

Cena vowed that he would take out Paul Heyman if Lesnar didn’t appear which almost make is sure about the Beast appearing.

The question on everyone’s mind about this would be how the two will be booked. If the rumors are right, with McMahon’s backing, Cena could end up getting one over Lesnar which clearly would sound a big repetitive.

The other scenario of Lesnar laying out Cena cannot be ruled out as well making this a must watch segment of this week’s Raw.
