WWE SummerSlam 2014: 3 Possible Endings for Brock Lesnar - John Cena match

Back in April, when the WWE wrapped up WrestleMania with a dream ending for Daniel Bryan, the fans were high thinking about the fact that SummerSlam they are going to get something bigger at SummerSlam.Bryans injury took him out of the scenario but the company managed to put up a credible main event which will pit John Cena against Brock Lesnar. Cena is currently having his 15th title reign while Lesnar is coming fresh off after conquering Undertakers streak. Both superstars are also established in various platforms making this the biggest match of the year so far.WWE needs to pull this one off correctly if they want this one to ring bells for a long time so here is a look at the possible endings for this block buster match between two of the biggest names that has grazed the squared circle of WWE.

#3 A Cryptic message from Undertaker

A portion of the WWE universe hasn’t yet recovered from the shock they had when Lesnar pinned Undertaker at WrestleMania 30. It caused a whirlwind of social network activity and all of a sudden, WWE was in the middle of all the talks.

The company however, hasn’t completely utilized the potential of that angle and apparently ended it without having Taker talk anything after his loss. And if there is a bigger stage after WrestleMania for that to happen, it has to be SummerSlam.

Taker might not be able to wrestle another match with Lesnar, but the creative team could let him pull off a promo which can help to build more heat for Lesnar.

The Phenom having a presence in Summerslam is going to make headlines for the pay-per-view which is the company’s ultimate aim after all. This segment could come after Cena or Lesnar winning the title and could cover up if the match doesn’t reach expectations.

#2 Seth Rollins wasting his briefcase

Seth Rollins might be getting the push of his life with Money in the bank briefcase, but the current situation hints that Rollins could end be getting adversely affected by the briefcase.

The main reason for this is Lesnar. WWE wouldn’t want Rollins to cash in the briefcase successfully on the Beast as it would make him look weak after what he achieved in WrestleMania. This would surely make Rollins a big name, but on the longer run, WWE will fail to book Lesnar properly.

This means that Rollins will have to wait till Lesnar ends his short spell which is rather too long to keep Rollins relevant. Instead, WWE could just let Rollins drop his briefcase in a failed cash in attempt against Lesnar allowing Paul Heyman’s client to look stronger.

Rollins might be buried at SummerSlam if this happens, but then again, he could be invested somewhere else without the burden of the pressure that comes along with the briefcase.

#1 Beast getting the title

Taker’s streak was arguably the biggest draw that WWE had at this year’s WrestleMania, and since Lesnar conquered that, it would be safe to say that he is having one of the best years of his career.

Well if there is something that the company could do to make the year better for Lesnar, it will be to make him the WWE champion at WrestleMania. Lesnar hasn’t won the gold after returning from UFC and he deserves to have another title run with the momentum he has.

A portion of the fans might argue with the idea of Lesnar holding the title but Lesnar needs that kind of heel heat if he is to stay longer.

He is a face that WWE can have even in the cereal boxes they produce and Lesnar winning at SummerSlam would be a best for business decision considering that WWE is going through a tough time.
