2. Bulls shock Heat in East series opener

Nate Robinson scored the go-ahead jumpshot with 1:18 left as the Chicago Bulls scored the final 10 points en route to a 93-86 win over reigning champions Miami in the opener of their NBA playoff series.

3. Ten-man Sunderland edge nearer safety

Ten-man Sunderland took a small step towards Premier League survival after coming from behind to draw 1-1 at home to Stoke on Monday.

4. O’Sullivan retains Snooker World Championship crown

Ronnie O’Sullivan retained snooker’s World Championship title with an 18-12 win over Barry Hawkins at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre on Monday.

5. Manu Ginobili’s 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left in double overtime lift the Spurs to a thrilling victory

Manu Ginobili’s 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left in double overtime lifted the Spurs to a thrilling 129-127 victory over the Warriors and Curry’s 44 points.

6. Mutua Madrid Open: Sania – Bethanie progress to round of 16

Sania Mirza and Bethanie Mattek-Sands overcame stiff resistance from Daniela Hantuchova and Anabel Medina-Garrigues to reach the pre-quarters of the Mutua Madrid Open, a WTA Premier event inside La Caja Mágica. The fifth seeded Indo-American duo overcame their unseeded opponents 7-6 (3), 4-6, 10-4 after an hour and 46 minutes of an erratic yet thrilling battle in Madrid.

7. Sharapova makes winning start in Madrid

Maria Sharapova survived a sticky start to move into the second round of the WTA Madrid Open on Monday with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Alexandra Dulgheru of Romania.

8. Australia media, players urge Tomic to dump dad

Australian media and former players Tuesday urged the country’s top-ranked tennis star Bernard Tomic to dump his father as coach after he was accused of headbutting his son’s training partner.
