5 Things WWE must do at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view

Will Becky Lynch interfere in Ronda Rousey's match at The Elimination Chamber?

The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is only a week away and while the WWE is poised to make history in several ways at the event, one has to wonder if it will be enough to entice fans into watching it. Furthermore, one has to wonder if the company will be able to fix their blunders over the past few weeks and deliver a good show.

That's not to say that WWE haven't done an excellent job at booking on The Road to WrestleMania 35, but the fans seem so jaded towards the company right now that it doesn't seem to matter. With that being said and only a handful of days to go before The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, here are five things the company must do at the event.

As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and also be sure tell us what you think WWE needs to do at The Elimination Chamber pay per view. Please keep in mind that some of these might not be based on popular opinion, but will instead focus on what the company needs to do in order to both keep fans interested and build towards WM35.

#5 Have Finn Balor beat Bobby Lashely by Rollup

Will Finn Balor be the next IC champion?
Will Finn Balor be the next IC champion?

WWE have teased giving Finn Balor a significant push on the main roster for some time now, but continues to have him come up short whenever it counts. Beyond that, the company has Balor lose in the most unsatisfying way possible, which does more to weaken his character than to build him up for the next feud.

As if all that wasn't bad enough, they are now using size jokes to build up Balor's feud with Bobby Lashely, and that's only proving to damage what little momentum that he has left. With all that in mind and WWE needing to please fans as much as possible at the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, its insanely obvious that they need to have him win.

In all honesty, WWE needs to find a way to protect both Superstars in this feud and maybe the best way to do that is to have Balor come out on top with a role up. Not only will that cement Balor as a true underdog champion and give him some momentum heading into WM 35, it also lessons the impact of the loss for Lashley.

In the end, Lashley should be booked better than this, especially as Intercontinental champion, but Balor needs a win right now just that much more. In fact, Balor needs a win so badly that if he doesn't gain the title at Elimination Chamber, its only going to drop him further down the card for WrestleMania and maybe even cause him to end up on the pre-show.

#4 Have Nia Jax cost Dean Ambrose a victory

Should Dean Ambrose and Nia Jax collide again?
Should Dean Ambrose and Nia Jax collide again?

Things have been heating up between Dean Ambrose and Nia Jax over the past couple of weeks and while this probably isn't everyone's favorite use of The Luanitic Fringe, the company would be foolish to cut this off prematurely. Beyond that, the feud is a nice little running joke that could play dividends for a lot of people

For example let's say Dean Ambrose takes on EC3 at the upcoming pay-per-view and gets screwed out of the win by Jax? Not only does that hand EC3 another needed main roster win, it also gives Ambrose a bit of an excuse to long strong in defeat. It also prolongs what is arguebly one of WWE's best feuds right now, which would be a shame to waste.

In the end, WWE might be done with Jax and Ambrose, but they shouldn't be. They need to keep it going for as long as possible and see where they can take it.

#3 Screw Bayley and Sasha Banks out of The Tag team titles

Does anyone really want to see Bayley and Sasha Banks become Tag team champions?
Does anyone really want to see Bayley and Sasha Banks become Tag team champions?

Believe it or not, Bayley and Sasha Banks should not be the two women to walk out of the historic Elimination Chamber match with The Tag team titles. In fact, between Sasha Banks' recent injury and the team not being popular with the older fans it definitely makes sense for them to chase the belts for awhile.

Beyond that, it should be The Riott squad's Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan that walk out of The Elimination Chamber match with the belts. Not only is that evident by the team being an excellent unpredictable heel stable, but also by the possibility of bookingg Riott Squad versus Absolution in the future.

If nothing else, that's a feud that WWE could really put a lot of stock behind and maybe even catapult one of the teams back to relevancy. With that being said and WWE absolutely needing to establish a solid story in the women's tag team division early on, it should be Riott squad versus Absolution moving forward.

#2 Let Daniel Bryan retain The WWE Title

Daniel Bryan needs to walk out of The Elimination Chamber with The WWE title around his waist
Daniel Bryan needs to walk out of The Elimination Chamber with The WWE title around his waist

Let's be honest here.

As interesting as it would be to see Samoa Joe, Randy Orton, Mustafa Ali, AJ Styles or Jeff Hardy head into WrestleMania 35 with the WWE title, it absolutely pales in comparison to the options the company has with Daniel Bryan as champion. In fact, any other of the five Superstars winning would probably do more to hurt the company on the road to WrestleMania 35 than to actually help them.

With that being said and Daniel Bryan doing an excellent job building momentum with his surprise heel turn, expect for him to retain The WWE title and head into WrestleMania 35 as champion. What happens from there is of course anyone's guess and will depend on what the company thinks is the right match, but they can't just drop Bryan as champion so close to the big show.

Beyond that, with enticing matchups like Bryan versus Miz and Bryan versus Cena possible at WrestleMania 35, WWE would be absolute fools to scrap that in favor of something else. Think about it! the copmany putting the title on anyone else heading to WrestleMania 35 makes no sense, which is why they need to keep the strap on Bryan for the time being.

#1 Have Becky Lynch cost Ronda Rousey The Raw Women's Title

Let's be honest. Becky Lynch costing Ronda Rousey the title would be an OMG moment.
Let's be honest. Becky Lynch costing Ronda Rousey the title would be an OMG moment.

It's no secret that The WWE is still reeling from the temporary loss of Seth Rollins and that is going to force the company to shift focus onto another storyline until The King Slayer is able to compete again. Interestingly enough, WWE has seemingly already done this by making Lynch versus Rousey a focal point over the last couple of weeks and it needs to continue at Elimination Chamber

That's why WWE needs to allow Ruby Riott and the Riott squad take Rousey to her aboslute limit and then allow Lynch to run in and cost Rousey her title. Not only will it be a nice call back to Rousey costing Lynch the title at TLC last year, it also gives Rousey reasonable motivation to want a match against Lynch.

While some might see this move as illogical, especially since it creates a situation where Lynch wouldn't be competing for the title, and makes Riott champion heading into WrestleMania 35, it is arguably the only thing WWE can do to move the storyline forward. Beyond that, it is the one moment that could make up for a lack of a Universal title picture right now.
