John Cena is a 16-time world champion

Former WWE Champion John Cena admitted that the promotion masterminded his WrestleMania 39 entrance.

John Cena returned to singles competition for a United States Championship match against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39. While Cena failed to emerge victorious, it made headlines for Cena's memorable entrance. The 16-time world champion had several Make-A-Wish children join him on the entrance ramp as he made his way to the ring in what was a heartfelt gesture.

Speaking on The Today Show, John Cena revealed that WWE presented the idea for his entrance to him. He added that the idea of having the children came from the company, but he was on board.

“The hope of fulfilling gratitude. Any good, warm thing that makes you feel great. This year, at WrestleMania, we got to give 15 or 20 Make-A-Wish kids a WrestleMania entrance in front of 80,000 people. Normally, the entrance is something you do by yourself, but WWE had the idea to give the Make-A-Wish kids the moment and the perspective that very few get to see. I was all on board, and it was great.” [H/T Inside The Ropes]

"Harry Kane, I’ve never met you, but you sound like a hell of a guy. I’ve never had this much flattery bestowed upon me in my life, so Harry Kane, thank you for making my day. You’ve made me smile, and I got to be called a whole lot of nice things because of you. If you want a pint somewhere, then I’m your man."
