Montez Ford is a WWE Tag Team Triple Crown Champion. He is built for the wrestling business. Ford's peers and some legends of the industry as well have singled out the aura and in-ring prowess he brings to the table. Despite this, he has not had a crack at a singles run yet.

He is presently part of The Pride, a faction led by two-time WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Ford's tag team partner since his debut in 2016 is Angelo Dawkins. The duo were a perfect match from the get-go, dubbed The Street Profits.

As Montez Ford spoke to Going Ringside recently, he touched upon his partnership with Dawkins and a potential solo run in the future:

"I feel like for myself and Dawkins, we have so much that we're still trying to obtain as a tag team," Ford said. "But I will say, if that opportunity happens, and we just spoke of when it comes to the draft, myself could be drafted to one show, he could be drafted to one show, so we both always talk about if the opportunity presents itself, like we're going."

The Pride were retained on Friday Night SmackDown by general manager Nick Aldis during the draft. Unfortunately for The Street Profits, they failed to become WWE Tag Team Champions as A-Town Down Under picked up a win over them. It remains to be seen if they will continue to pursue the belts.

Montez Ford labels working with Bobby Lashley in WWE as a full-circle moment

Bobby Lashley recruited The Street Profits in the fall of last year. They were the first two he brought in to form The Pride. Montez Ford was asked about his recent months on the blue brand in which the faction, who were later joined by B-Fab, were heavily featured.

Montez added that he idolized The All Mighty during the latter's first stint with the Stamford-based promotion. That's why his association with the veteran is a full-circle moment for him:

"[The Street Profits] is the one thing I've done the entire time I've been in the WWE, so being transitioned to be with someone like Bobby is so cool. It's like full circle for me because ... when I was watching WWE coming up in middle school and high school, I was watching Bobby Lashley. I was watching his matches with John Cena and him competing for the United States Championship at the time. Then seeing how we had similar backgrounds from coming from the [military] service and then doing WWE. So he was always some someone I watched, idolized, and tried to take after. So now for us being now associated, part of that, it's like a full circle for me." [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

The trio scored a pinfall victory against The Final Testament in a Philadelphia Street Fight at WrestleMania XL. The win capped off their three-month-long rivalry.
