Earlier today, it was announced that WWE will host its first Premium Live Event in Germany, with Bash In Berlin set to take place in the historic city on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

This event comes in the wake of a recent set of major shows taking place in Europe, with Clash at the Castle and Money In The Bank proving to be huge successes over the past year.

Join us as we take a look at four matches that Triple H and WWE Creative must put on the card in order for it to be a guaranteed sellout.

#4. WWE teammates collide

One match that would certainly be a big one for the European fans in attendance would be a one-on-one contest between Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium.

The duo have been inseparable since debuting for the company in 2019, having won tag team gold in NXT and also impressing on the main roster.

Being from Germany, Kaiser would be met with a huge pop regardless of whether he is a heel or not. Therefore, it would be wise for his Italian teammate to turn on him and set up a one-on-one match.

During an exclusive conversation with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Vinci was asked how it has been to team with Kaiser in Imperium.

"I think honestly we have a pretty good dynamic going on. I mean, the success speaks for itself. Obviously, I was added a little bit later last year. I think Ludwig and I had a pretty good thing going, even in NXT, so right now whatever opportunity comes up, we'll take it and I'll just put a hundred percent effort in, like I did so far, and things are going great." #3. A heavy-hitting rematch

As well as Kaiser and Vinci featured on the card, the leader of Imperium, Gunther, will undoubtedly be a major part of this show.

From Austria, the Intercontinental Champion has had many matches in Germany prior to signing for WWE.

While he has had many top matches on the main roster, arguably his best and most challenging opponent so far has been the current NXT Champion, Ilja Dragunov. The two hard-hitting stars faced off in NXT UK for the brand's title during the pandemic, with both contests receiving huge plaudits.

Speaking to Fightul, Dragunov was asked if he would like to one day face Gunther at WrestleMania or in another big stadium match for WWE.

"Let’s say it’s a dream. I don’t plan, I can’t see it. I’m not sure how fast it’s gonna happen. I just have a feeling it will be the right thing to do because there is just two perfect opposites. He’s like a final boss. Everybody sees it. Everybody feels it and I’m the ultimate underdog. I’m one of a dying breed. I’m one of those guys you can punch and kick and slam as much as you want to, and you just don’t keep me down. There’s enough examples to believe that." (H/T Fightul)

#2. Two countrymen battle it out

As well as Imperium, two other European stars that fans would like to see wrestle on the main roster are Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

The two men both came up through the Irish professional wrestling scene before making it to WWE. During that time, the pair built a strong persona and professional bond.

Currently, JD is trying to prove his worth in an attempt to join Balor's faction, the Judgment Day. Speaking on WWE's The Bump, Finn gave his thoughts on McDonagh potentially joining the group.

"Listen, there’s been a lot of fuss and a lot of talk about J.D. McDonagh. Is he an ally of The Judgment Day? Is he somewhat a soon-to-be member of The Judgment Day? That we don’t know. The only thing that I know for sure, is that J.D. McDonagh has been an ally of Finn for 20 years. That is something that not many people can say. So, I trust him." (H/T 411Mania)

With Bash In Berlin just under a year away, Balor and McDonagh have plenty of time to tell a story in which they join forces before one of them betrays the other, leading to an intense match in the German capital.

#1. A high-stakes tag team match

This week on NXT, Becky Lynch lost her NXT Women's title to her fellow countrywoman Lyra Valkyria in a true passing of the torch moment.

After the contest, the two Irishwomen shared a touching moment in the ring as the pair hugged, with them seemingly on the same page.

Given their chemistry, WWE may want to one day have the duo team up. If that does indeed take place, then a great pair for them to face could be the reunited tag team of Asuka and Kairi Sane, with the latter rumored to be heading back to the company very soon.
