WWE keeping Orton happy, plans for Orton vs Reigns at Hell in a Cell

Randy Orton

We noted last week that Randy Orton has been reportedly frustrated over his current role in the WWE and he wanted to take some time off to gather himself up.

But WWE hasn’t granted his request mainly due to the fact that the current roster is missing the big names. Their main objective right now is to satisfy The Viper and give him top priority which is why he was chosen to compete against Chris Jericho and write him off TV this week.

The change in the main event on last Monday Night Raw from Orton vs Ambrose to Orton vs John Cena at the last minute was done because of the same reason.

With Hell in a Cell as their next PPV stop, it remains to be seen how creative books him for the event. Due To Roman Reigns’ surgery incident, they had to revamp the script for several days in such short notice.

There were plans to feature Randy Orton and Roman Reigns in the co-main event of Hell In a Cell. Creative has gone back and forth on having 1 or 2 Cell matches and at one point were leaning towards 2, the other being Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose.
