A new Dangerous Alliance in the making: Paul Heyman, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar and The Shield

Post the Royal Rumble hangover week, WWE Raw will emanate from Atlanta, Georgia on Monday. Following Brock Lesnar’s surprise return and shocking attack on the WWE Chairman, Mr. McMahon, this week’s RAW is set to be enthralling as we’ll get to know more about the relationship among Paul Heyman’s acquaintances – The Shield, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar.

A new Dangerous Alliance in the making?

Last week on RAW, before Brock Lesnar’s brutal F-5, Mr. McMahon showed a video evidence proving that Paul Heyman was indeed involved with the Shield and Brad Maddox. However, several questions remain unanswered in this regard.

  • Did CM Punk get involved in this arrangement between Paul Heyman and The Shield?
  • Who leaked the footage involving The Shield’s attack on Brad Maddox?
  • What is CM Punk’s reaction to Brock coming to the aid of Heyman?
  • Is Paul Heyman going to be the mastermind behind a new faction comprising of Punk, Lesnar and The Shield?

Paul Heyman, who was the mastermind behind a faction called ‘Dangerous Alliance’ in the past, could well be involved in the making of a new dangerous alliance.

Repurcussions of Brock Lesnar’s return

Brock Lesnar is confirmed to be a part of this week’s RAW. With Mr. McMahon getting injured after Brock’s F-5, it will be interesting to see how this storyline plays out in this week’s RAW. Speculations are rife that Triple H would return this week and would get involved in a feud leading to a Brock Lesnar vs Triple H match at Wrestlemania 29. Others expect The Undertaker to return and face off against Lesnar at WM 29. There is a hint of something brewing on RAW with regards to Brock’s involvement at Wrestlemania.

No Rock on Raw?

WWE Champion, The Rock, is not advertised to be a part of the show. However, he may be a part of the show via satellite. CM Punk will take forward his title feud with Rock further. On the other hand, John Cena, who has already announced that he will face the WWE Champion at Wrestlemania 29, will most likely be involved a new feud starting this week.

A Big threat for Del Rio

It seems like Alberto Del Rio has picked a fight with the wrong guy. The Big Show, enraged over his title loss last month, has been gunning for payback. He attacked Del Rio’s personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, last week on SmackDown. How Del Rio responds to this will be part of this week’s RAW.

Elimination Chamber details

An Elimination Chamber match with World Heavyweight Championship implications has been confirmed. However, it is still unclear whether we will have a elimination chamber match for the WWE Championship. At this point of time, it seems unlikely but relevant details will certainly be revealed on RAW.

Chris Jericho – Dolph Ziggler feud

It remains to be seen whether this feud is really on the cards, but the signs are prominent. Last week, Jericho caused Ziggler to be chokeslammed in their tag-team match. Will this friction between these two lead to something big this week?

WWE RAW this week has many things to look forward to, from the fans point of view. Following last week’s ratings boost, WWE writers will certainly strive to make this show exciting. Let’s hope they don’t let us down.
