The WWE Universe wishes John Cena a very happy birthday

What’s the story?

John Cena, arguably one of the biggest stars of the WWE Universe turned 40 this Sunday, 23rd of April. The former WWE Champion celebrated his birthday by deadlifting 602 lbs in a recent video he posted on Twitter.

In case you didn’t know

John Felix Anthony Cena Jr. started his professional wrestling career in 2002 and his career has never looked back, with him soon becoming the face of the PG Era, a face that the younger audience could love and look up to.

Although he attracted his share of controversy, John Cena is still a household name when it comes to the WWE.

The heart of the matter

John Cena has been training hard recently, being off the WWE programming since WrestleMania as is evident from the videos he posts on Twitter. Only recently he posted a video of himself deadlifting 573 lbs and not even breaking a sweat.

Over the weekend, it looks like Cena took on a 602 lbs deadlift to celebrate turning 40. As the Twitter video shows, the thirteen-time WWE Champion had no issues lifting this massive amount of weight and seems to be at the peak of his physical abilities.

What’s next?

John Cena and Nikki Bella just got engaged only weeks ago at WrestleMania 33 and since then the two Superstars have been on a break from the squared circle. But they will return soon as the Stars still have a rivalry with The Miz and Maryse to hopefully come back to.

Cena also has a movie on the way called “The Wall”, a military thriller starring himself which is set to release on May 12. The former rapper also has other movies like “The Marine” in his acting resume and seems to slowly be making his mark in the world of Hollywood, not unlike his peer Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Author’s take

We wish John Cena a very happy birthday from the Sportskeeda team. We wish him years of success in WWE and thank him for the years of entertainment as well as helping those in need through his regular charitable efforts.
