Walking Wake is coming back to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet through a limited-time event that's taking place from April 26 to May 6. Much like its first distribution, Walking Wake will only be obtainable through raid hosts using Pokemon Scarlet. This Paradox Pokemon will also be available in Five-Star Tera Raids, rather than the expected Seven-Star variant.

While many players will be taking down this creature with a group of their friends or other trainers online, some may want to attempt the task on their own through solo raiding. Taking down one of these Raid Bosses in one hit is also a great achievement to show off. But, is it possible to OHKO (one-hit knockout) Walking Wake?

Walking Wake will not be at its full potential for this fight. It lacks its secondary Dragon typing defensively and is also only Level 75. Moreover, it is a Five-Star Tera Raid Boss. You can thus take down Walking Wake in one hit with just one turn of set-up under the right conditions.

Miraidon is the best choice for taking down Walking Wake, but it is the mascot for Pokemon Violet while Walking Wake can be found in Pokemon Scarlet. You will need to trade one over to use Miraidon in this fight. Most Violet players will trade their Miraidon for a Koriadon, so it may help to keep one of the latter on standby to exchange.

Using a Miraidon with only two attacks, players can set up and attack Walking Wake with enough power to take it down in one shot. Since the process only takes two turns, there is very little risk to using this strategy as well. Here is how to take down Walking Wake in one hit during the Paradox Pokemon raid event in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

To one-shot Walking Wake with Miraidon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you should alter it in a way that its Special Attack stat is as high as possible. This can be done by granting it a nature that increases its stats through nature mints if it does not have one already, or by ensuring max IVs in the stat through natural means or by hyper training.

When the battle starts, Miraidon should use Charge. This will double the power of Electro Drift, which will be used on the next turn. This not only deals double damage thanks to Charge, but also deals an additional 33% damage since the move boosts its damage if it is super-effective. This will one-shot Walking Wake unless it uses Noble Roar. In that case, you will require an additional turn to knock out the critter.
