The New York Yankees are having a great week. They swept the host Minnesota Twins 5-0 on Thursday, reaching their 30th victory this season.

“Being good again is so much fun,” a fan commented.
“Thought the Twins were supposed to be good,” a fan replied.
“Yanks own the Twins,” a fan tweeted.

The Twins won six back-to-back series until they faced the Bronx Bombers this week. The Yankees completely broke Minnesota's hot streak as they allowed only earned only one run while scoring 14 in the three games.

“Like old times,” a fan tweeted.
“I'm really loving the season so far. I think we will go far in the postseason if we can stay this hot most of the season,” a fan commented.
“My Yankees always come through,” a fan replied.

Schmidt had a fantastic day with eight strikeouts, giving up only three hits, lowering his ERA to 2.49.

Yankees skipper impressed with Clarke Schmidt’s result

In a postgame interview with the Yes Network, Yankees manager Aaron Boone had nothing but praise for Clarke Schmidt.

“Dominant, just in complete control. I thought his stuff was great,” Boone said. “I've been saying he's got the arsenal, he's got the repertoire to do it and now he's, you know, becoming really good at executing and having a real feel in command of his entire arsenal."

Schmidt left after 103 pitches.

“I was getting on him about his PFP (pitchers’ fielding practice) a little bit, and, of course, he wanted to go back out there and finish," Boone said. "I was like, that's good for today. So, he was really good.”

Schmidt has a 2.49 ERA in nine starts (50.2 innings). In his last three starts, he didn’t earn any runs in 19.2 innings, making him a dependable ace for the team.

The Yankees (30-15) lead the AL East as well as the American League with the most victories. They’ll next welcome the Chicago White Sox in New York for a three-day series starting Friday, focusing on continuing their hot streak.
