Bol Bol is a talented basketball player who plays for the Phoenix Suns. Born in Khartoum, Sudan in 1999, he moved to the United States at a young age and grew up playing basketball in Olathe, Kansas.

He is 7-foot-3 inches tall. He was part of the 2019 NBA draft after a single season playing college basketball at the University of Oregon. He was selected 44th overall by the Miami Heat but was subsequently traded to the Denver Nuggets.

Over his first few NBA seasons, Bol showed flashes of brilliance but struggled with injuries and finding consistent playing time. Bol averaged 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game with the Orlando Magic in 2022. He has played a limited role with the Phoenix Suns in 2023-24 season, averaging 7.2 minutes in 12 games.

Bol Bol's Parents

Bol Bol's father was the legendary NBA player Manute Bol. Originally from Sudan, the 7-foot-7 centre had a decade-long NBA career. He played for teams like Washington Bullets, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors between 1985-1995. Off the court, he donated much of his NBA salary to humanitarian causes in his native Sudan.

Manute's first wife passed away, and he later remarried Ajok Kuag, who is Bol Bol's mother. According to Ajok, Bol looks exactly like his father in both appearance and personality. In an interview, she recalled her son crying about missing his father, who sadly passed away in 2010 from kidney failure. Ajok shared that Bol hopes to carry on his father's legacy of philanthropy, but wants to be smart with his money as well.
