Charles Lee is an American professional basketball coach and the head coach of the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA as of November 2024. Lee is married to Lindsey, and they have three children named Corinne, Vivian, and Josephine, according to his NBA coach profile. Lee attended Bucknell University in 2001, where he played for the Bucknell Bison men's basketball team. He was inducted into the Bison's Hall of Fame in 2017. According to his college Hall of Fame profile, he was one of the standout performers on the 2005 and 2006 championship men's basketball teams. He was named the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2006 and the Patriot League tournament MVP in 2005 and 2006.

Lee played for the Hapoel Gilboa/Afula, the R.B.C. Verviers-Pepinster, the BG Göttingen, and the Artland Dragons, after going undrafted in the 2006 NBA Draft. Lee had a stint with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA's summer league and pre-season but did not make the regular season roster. Interestingly, before beginning his full-time basketball coaching career, Lee worked as a single stock equity on Wall Street as per ESPN.
