Chris Paul is an American point guard who plays for the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as of May 2025. He was selected as the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NBA draft by the New Orleans Hornets. He has played for several teams including the Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, and Golden State Warriors in the past.

Paul, who is a 12-time NBA All-Star, a five-time NBA assists leader, and a six-time NBA steals leader, attended West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, United States. He played college basketball at Wake Forest University from 2003 to 2005. Paul appeared in 63 contests and averaged 15.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, as per reports.
