Karl-Anthony Towns is an American center for the New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as of June 2025. Towns went to St. Joseph High School, where he was ranked the fourth best prospect in the 2014 class. He committed to University of Kentucky and played for the Kentucky Wildcats between 2014 and 2015. He won the SEC Rookie of the Year award and was selected to the All-SEC First Team and All-SEC Freshman Team in his single season for the Wildcats.

Towns was selected as the first overall pick in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2015 NBA draft. He was traded to the Knicks as part of a three-team trade with the Charlotte Hornets in 2024. As of June 2025, Towns has been named to the NBA All-Star five times in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2024, and 2025. During the 2024-25 NBA season, he averaged 24.4 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in 72 regular season contests, as per reports.
