Mohamed Bamba is an American-Ivorian professional basketball player who plays as center for the Philadelphia 76ers in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Bamba was born on May 12, 1998, in Harlem, New York, U.S., to parents Lancine Bamba and Aminata Johnson. His parents were both immigrants from the Ivory Coast. Bamba attended Cardigan Mountain School, an all-boys boarding school in Canaan, New Hampshire for eighth and ninth grades.

He would later study and graduate from Westtown School in Westtown, Pennsylvania. He was rated a five-star recruit and took part in the 2017 McDonald's All-American Game as well as the Nike Hoop Summit. All in all, Bamba was considered one of the top high school prospects in the class of 2017.

For college, Bamba played for the Texas Longhorns. In one college season, Bamba averaged 12.9 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He was named a member of the Big 12's All-Newcomer Team and All-Defensive Team, as well as being named a member of the All-Big 12 Second Team.

The Orlando Magic selected Bamba on June 21, 2018, with the sixth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He made his NBA debut on October 17, 2018, against the Miami Heat, where he recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks off the bench, guiding his team to a win.

After five seasons in Orlando, Bamba was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on February 9, 2023, as a part of a four-team trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets. Bamba and the Philadelphia 76ers agreed on a deal on July 9, 2023, after the Lakers waived him off.
