Who are Kris Murray’s parents?

Born on August 19, 2000, Kristopher James Murray is an American basketball player. Kris plays college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes men’s basketball team. Kris and his twin brother, Keegan, attended Prairie High School in their home town. In high school, Kris was selected to the first-team All-Metro and second-team All-State.

Kris joined the DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida, after completing his graduation from High School. After a postgraduate year at DME Academy, Kris played for the Iowa Hawkeyes men’s basketball team. He averaged 9.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in his second year with the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team.

At the end of the regular season, Kris entered the 2022 NBA draft. He was invited to play in the NBA draft combine, but he refused. Shortly after declining the invitation to the NBA draft combine, Kris withdrew his name from the 2022 NBA draft. He continued to play with the Iowa Hawkeyes team. As a junior, Kris averaged 20.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. After the season, Kris declared for the 2023 NBA draft.

Kris Murray was born on August 19, 2000, to his father, Kenyon Murray and mother, Michelle Murray. Kris Murray’s family includes his three siblings, Keegan, Mckenna, and Demetrius Harper. The twins, Kris and Keegan, were born first and later, McKenna was born. McKenna is also an emerging athlete in the family.

Kenyon Murray adopted Demetrius Harper after the birth of his own daughter. Demetrius was seven years older than McKenna. He was an athlete at the Prairie High School and played college basketball at Coe.

Kris Murray’s Father

Kris Murray’s father, Kenyon Murray, was also a college-level basketball player. Kenyon enrolled at Central High School in Battle Creek, Michigan. Throughout high school, he participated in 122 games. Kenyon was regarded as the top scholar-athlete at McDonald’s High School All-game in Atlanta.

After completing his high school, Kris attended the University of Iowa and played college basketball for four years. After college, Kenyon served as an assistant men’s coach at Indiana Hills Community College for three years. Moreover, he joined Prairie as assistant boys coach. Kenyon has been working as a basketball coach for over 10 years.
