FC Porto mainstay, Joao Moutinho, has been attracting interest from top clubs all over Europe. But Monaco are believed to be leading the chase for the 26-year-old Portuguese international.
The French club are willing to bid €40 million and trigger the release clause on his contract which is set to expire at the end of 2014-15 season. He has been previously linked with Tottenham which is currently coached by André Villas-Boas, his former boss at Estádio do Dragão . Manchester United are also rumoured to be interested.
The club’s ambitious owner, Dmitry Rybolovlev, is hoping a multi-million pound contract will be enough to lure Moutinho to Les Rouge et Blanc.
The versatile midfielder is said to be on top of manager Claudio Ranieri’s shopping list this summer. The former Chelsea boss is also interested in QPR midfielder Park Ji-Sung. The South Korean is looking for a move out of Loftus Road following QPR’s relegation.
