Hello and welcome to the Real Madrid latest transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Galacticos!

#3 Hazard should press for Madrid move

This is according to Chelsea legend Michael Ballack. For long, Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the Belgian and the player himself has welcomed those stories with open arms.

Meanwhile, the legendary former Germany midfielder praised the former Lille player as one of the best in the Premier League and has called for him to decide as to what he is going to do next.

“Eden Hazard has to decide if he wants to stay or not,” Ballack was quoted as saying. “He’s not only an outstanding player at Chelsea but also in the Premier League.

“Now he has to decide if he wants to play at an ultimate top club. That’s what he’s already communicated from time to time.”

According to Ballack, the Belgium captain is too calm about his future and has advised him to be more demanding about the matters of his future to Chelsea.

"In my opinion, he is a little bit too calm, especially at Chelsea. There should be more demanding and expressing of his wishes.”

Finally, the former Bayer Leverkusen star added that Hazard is in a position to be demanding while also stating that Chelsea will need to make something happen if they are to guarantee accolades because otherwise, keeping Hazard becomes almost impossible.

“He can do that because he is in an outstanding position. If he wants to win more titles with Chelsea, something has to happen otherwise Eden Hazard will think about looking for another opportunity.”

With just a little over a year left in his Chelsea contract, the summer of 2019 will be the decider.

#2 Sarri pushing Hazard out

Criticising your own players publically in modern-day football is a big no-no. Jose Mourinho used this as a tactic to motivate his men back in Chelsea (in his first stint) and Inter.

However, this very method led to his downfall at Real Madrid and Manchester United. Right now, Sarri is doing the same thing with Hazard as he claimed that the Belgian needs to do more and fulfill his immense potential.

He also stated that Hazard is not a leader and former Premier League star Kevin Phillips thinks that the Italian is pushing the Belgian out of the club.

“It seems that way [Sarri pushing Hazard to Madrid],” Phillips said.

“History suggests at Chelsea that once you start publicly criticising your players, it only ends one way. To do it to your best player is very bizarre.”

#1 Barca’s Mbappe plan and the want for James

Kylian Mbappe is the great dream of Real Madrid fans. The Galacticos were close to signing him in 2017 but lost the battle to PSG. However, the pursuit for him still hasn’t stopped as the French star has elevated his status in the world of football.

So much that Barcelona now see him as a replacement for Lionel Messi and have laid out a plan to sign him for a bargain price. The Catalans plan to make an offer for him in 2021, when he will have just a year left in his contract, to replace Messi, who will be 34 at the time.

Don Balon also add that he would cost €300 million now.

Meanwhile, this report from 90mins claims that James Rodriguez is unlikely to be signed by Bayern Munich on a permanent basis. As a result, he has been offered to the top six sides of the Premier League.
