Manchester United are expected to get real serious about their pursuit of a world-class centre-back and Kalidou Koulibaly of SSC Napoli is one of the most prominent names on the list. However, it looks like the Red Devils will not see their wish fulfilled in the summer as the player and his manager have now come out and ruled out the possibility of a summer exit.

On being quizzed by the press, after Napoli's Europa League quarter-final defeat at the hands of Arsenal, as to whether he finds the Serie A not as challenging as he would want, Koulibaly said,

“Why? I grew up in this league. It's the league that made me the player I am today.
"To me what matters most is to finish the season well, then we'll see. I am sorry because we wanted to go through."

Carlo Ancelotti was also quick to brush aside any links to Manchester United and insisted that Koulibaly is too valuable to Napoli and that he cannot see the Senegalese international leaving the club in the summer.

Ancelotti said,

“Koulibaly is the best centre-back in the world, and he has more room for improvement,”
“He is worth €150m and he is non-transferable. Napoli do not need to sell, the president does not want to sell and the question does not arise.”

Manchester United are expected to undergo a massive rebuilding process in the summer with several areas being already identified by the manager and the fans as being in need of reinforcements. Now Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reiterated that the Red Devils are in the process of identifying potential summer recruits.

"I know there has been loads of criticism.”
“I don’t know if all these critics know what is happening.
"We have got scouts scouring the planet for good footballers. I’m confident we are doing what we can to get the right players in.
“We’ll sign players that we think are the right fit personality wise, quality wise, price wise, and can you have longevity here at this club.”

A host of players have already been linked with Manchester United but only time will tell who among them will join the red half of Manchester.

Barcelona set to put in an offer for Everton's Richarlison

Richarlison has undoubtedly been one of Everton's better players this campaign. Despite being brilliant only sporadically, it looks like the 21-year-old has done just about enough to turn the heads of one of Europe's biggest clubs, Barcelona.

As per latest reports, Barcelona are now eyeing a move for the forward. Richarlison joined Everton from Watford in the summer of 2018 for a sum of £35 million (rising to £50m) after impressing greatly for the Hornets in the 2017-18 season.

Barcelona, however, will have to pay much more than that in order to stand a chance of signing him in the summer. The Cules are looking at Richarlison as a strike partner for the ageing Suarez who is yet to break his duck in the UEFA Champions League.

Richarlison has scored 12 goals from 32 Premier League appearances this season for the Toffees.

Chelsea lower asking price for Eden Hazard

Chelsea are, in a shocking turn of events, not going to play hardball with respect to Eden Hazard's impending departure. They have lowered the asking price for the Belgian from €116 million to a meek €90 million according to latest reports.

Real Madrid were not willing to meet Chelsea's initial valuation of the Belgian that stood at €116 million. The Blues had subsequently lowered it to the ballpark of €105 million. Hazard's current contract at Chelsea will run out in the summer of 2020 and if Chelsea cannot seal a deal for him this summer, they run the risk of losing him for free at the end of next season.

Chelsea are looking to replace Eden Hazard with Nicolas Pepe of Lille. Pepe has been in scintillating form for the Ligue 1 side and is second on the list of top scorers in the league, just behind Kylian Mbappe with a whopping 19 goals to his name.

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Juventus; Manchester United likely destination

Done with Juve?

My oh my! This one link just does not seem to die. Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford in 2009, he has been tipped for a return. And every subsequent summer, we have seen the Portuguese talisman being linked with a return to Manchester United.

Now, in the backdrop of Juventus' exit from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Ajax, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly decided not to fulfil his contract with the Serie A side and wants to take on a different challenge instead.

With Paul Pogba expected to leave in the summer, Manchester United are looking to sign a top player who can help them challenge on all fronts in the upcoming season and they believe that Ronaldo's still got it for at least 2 more seasons.

Chevrolet are ready to take on more responsibility on the financing front and take care of United's wage bill in its entirety as they believe that it will give more visibility to their brand.

Juventus will ask for nothing less than €120 million - €20 million more than what Juve paid for Ronaldo when they signed him from Real Madrid last summer.
