Hockey: India maul France once again

Sandeep Singh continues his great run of form

India has beaten France in second test by the margin of 6-0.

Ace drag flicker Sandeep Singh continued his good run in the tournament and scored 3 goals in the match while Rajpal Singh, Md Amir Khan and Hari Prasad scored a goal each.

Goal scoring for India started in 12th minute when Tushar Khandekar was obstructed and earned a penalty corner for the team. Sandeep Singh scored the goal and then increased his tally in 37th and 47th minute.

Rajpal Singh (the unsung hero) scored goal for the team in 39th minute of the game, when he got a pass from Vikram Pillay.

Amir scored India’s fifth goal in the 55th minute with a deft reverse deflection after combining in a swift counter attack with Bharat Chikkara.

India rounded off their tally three minutes later when Hari Prasad struck the sixth goal as Khandker, Vikas Pillay and Danish Mujtaba broke through the French defence.

India has now one match to play and then they will go to Holland which is the last stop of their preparation tour for upcoming tournaments.
