Match Update!

It is currently pouring down here in Grenada. The rain has been coming down for a while. As a result, the toss hasn't even taken place. It is unlikely that the game will start anytime soon with the entire square covered right now.

Good evening everyone and a warm welcome to Match number 16 of the Spice Isle T10 at the National Cricket Stadium in Grenada. Today, the Cinnamon Pacers take on the Nutmeg Warriors in what promises to be a crackerjack of a contest. I, Sarthak S Karkhanis along with my colleague Karthik Raj will take you through this match. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda and before that here is a preview of what we can expect in this match.

After starting their campaign on a losing note, the Pacers had a hat-trick of wins before the Clove Challengers handed them their second loss in a rain-curtailed game. The game was reduced to just 5 overs and the batters couldn't get going. Chasing a target of 61 in 5 overs was always going to be an uphill task and losing both the in-form openers early didn't help their cause.

Nutmeg Warriors have a completely opposite pattern of wins and losses compared to their counterparts. They won their opening game but registered a series of losses before Andre Fletcher and the bowlers led them to a victory over the Bay Leaf Blasters in the previous game. Fletcher scored a 28-ball 69 and the bowlers restricted them to 77. Fletcher scored a quickfire 79 and picked 4 wickets when the two sides met earlier in the competition.

The Cinnamon Pacers are ranked second on the points table and are behind the top-ranked Strikers on the basis of Net run-rate. They have 3 wins in 5 matches while their opponents, the Warriors have won a match less than them. The pitch expects to be a paradise for batters and 110 is a par score for the 1st innings on this wicket. We can expect a run-fest today. Stay tuned as the toss and team updates are on your way!
