Too much was needed to be done towards the end but none of the CK batters were able to rise up to the occasion. Looking back on this match, CK would surely wonder what if those last 2 overs where they conceded almost 50 runs if removed it could have been a different ball game.
He, unfortunately, lost his wicket in the 8th over and a confident inning from him came to an end. Panda who looked brave could not last long as well as he was sent back in the penultimate over. Towards the end, Chris Redhead lost his wicket as well.
Even at the halfway stage, Extras were the leading run-scorer for them as Pedro and Panda were struggling out in the middle. Pedro found the boundary in the 7th over but his side required a lot of those coming towards the close of the innings.
Panda who was not wearing a helmet was struck on the head of a bumper as the play halted for some minutes, Panda although came back strong and batted out in the middle. Things were not looking good for CK as boundaries were not coming.
Pedro and Tom although had their intentions clear as they found the boundary as well as ran the quick singles as well. Tom could not last long into his innings after that as he chipped one straight to the fielder in the third over.
Coming into chase 114 runs, Tom and Pedro came out to the middle for CK. Syed bowling the first over could not bowl straight at all as he bowled 10 wides in that over while just 2 runs were scored off the bat. Mian then brought himself on for the 2nd over to compensate for the first over.
CK after having MAL in their grasp with the ball almost let them loose towards the end which has probably cost them this match here. Fortunately for MAL, Shahzad bowling the final over did not miss his lines and bowled on the stumps throughout.
Over: 10 | Summary: 0 0 1lb 1 1 2 Bowler: Khurram Shahzad Score: 60/4
9.6 Khurram Shahzad to Clive Worth, full ball on the stumps, gets the toe end of the bat to long-on. They scramble for the second as the fielder runs in from the deep
9.5 Khurram Shahzad to Lovely Saini, fuller ball on the off-stump, drags it across the line to wide long-on. Can't get more than a single
9.4 Khurram Shahzad to Clive Worth, rises awkwardly off a length and raps him on the glove. Saini calls him through for a single
9.3 Khurram Shahzad to Lovely Saini, good length ball on the off-stump, he moves across trying to work it around the corner but fails to get any bat on it
9.2 Khurram Shahzad to Lovely Saini, charges at the bowler making some room for himself, swings across the line but makes no connection
9.1 Khurram Shahzad to Lovely Saini, good length ball nipping back in, hits him on the pads but it is going well down the leg
Panda looking to slog the balls towards the end loses his wicket as well in the previous over. CK are still 54 runs away from the target. MAL should win this one unless MAL bowler goes on to bowl 10-15 wides and no-balls in that over.
Over: 9 | Summary: 1 0 W 0 1 1W Bowler: Yasir Sabir Score: 55/4

8.5 Yasir Sabir to Chris Redhead, fuller ball on the stumps, drives it down to mid-on and gets off the mark
8.4 Yasir Sabir to Chris Redhead, back of a length, nipping away off the seam, prods at that one and gets beaten
