Team Abu Dhabi 114/7 (10 ov)
Northern Warriors 115/3 (9.5 ov)
Northern Warriors won by 7 wickets
Player of the match: Fabian Allen
That's it for today folks. Northern Warriors are through to the finals and will play Delhi Bulls tomorrow night.Join us tomorrow for the third place play-off and the big final. This was me, Vasudev Bissa along with my friend Maanas Upadhyay, signing off for tonight. Bon niut!
Fabian Allen is the player of the match for his T10's career best figures. He is a star player, isn't he?
Fabian Allen's spell made sure Abu Dhabi did not get a score above par. Warriors bowled in the right areas in the death overs and did not leak many runs. Luke Wright's decision to bat late surely did not work, they tried maintaining the left-right combination but that did not work. At the end of the day,it was Powell's shots in the 9th over and Simmons' shots in the last one which made this a hell of a nail biting chase.
YES!!! Northern Warriors have done it, THEY ARE THROUGH TO THE FINALS. Amazing innings played by Simmons and Powell, their partnership got them back in the game and what a finish by Simmons. Abu Dhabi had managed to put a lid on the runs but the last three overs just weren't good. Dropping catches, bowling wides, bowling no-balls. "Catches win matches", this will hurt Abu Dhabi like hell. Powerplay overs were surely won by Abu Dhabi, they did not leak runs but also did not get any wicket. Crucial partnership between Simmons and Powell in the middle overs helped them settle their eyes in and hit some biggies out of the park in the death overs.
9.5 Tom Helm to Lendl Simmons, WIDE! What an anti-climatic finish! slower length ball but sliding down the leg side. The batsmen run across for the single but it does not matter as the umpire has stretched his arms. The dropped catch of Simmons cost Team Abu Dhabi the game in the end! With that, the Northern Warriors edge past Team Abu Dhabi by 7 wickets!
9.4 Tom Helm to Lendl Simmons, SIX! BOOM! Scores level! Overpitched delivery on the off stump, Summons moves across and sends that packing over the mid-wicket region for a huge maximum! That travelled a long way! Just one run needed off 2 deliveries.
9.3 Tom Helm to Lendl Simmons, no run, nails the yorker outside off, Simmons is unable to get his bat down in time. 7 runs off 3 balls now!
9.2 Tom Helm to Lendl Simmons, length ball on the off stump, Simmons swings hard at it and inside-halves it towards deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs. Good work by McCoy on the fence! 7 runs off 4 balls now!
Take it from me, Northern Warriors are playing the final tomorrow.
9.1 Tom Helm to Lendl Simmons, SIX! BANG! Slower length ball on the off stump, Simmons shuffles across, picks the slower one and launches it over the mid-wicket region for a maximum!
9.1 Tom Helm to Lendl Simmons, slower full ball sliding down the leg side, adjudged as a WIDE
Sweet revenge for McCoy on the last ball.16 needed off the last one, Tom Helm to bowl the last one. Sangakara is tensed in the dugout and so is everyone else, Nail biting finish on the cards?

Over: 9 | Summary: 0 6 1 3nb 6 2 W Bowler: Obed McCoy Score: 99/3
8.6 Obed McCoy to Rovman Powell, OUT! CHOPPED ON! Powell is distraught! Full ball outside off angling away, Powell looks to loft it into the off side. Gets the thick inside edge that crashes into his stumps! Dragged onto the stumps and Powell cannot believe what has happened! Has to walk back for 49 runs!
8.5 Obed McCoy to Rovman Powell, full ball on the off stump, Powell slams that down the ground. Stirling at long off loses his footing and allows the batsmen to returned for the second.
McCoy has been so predictable, batsmen know what he'll bowl. Can't be predictable in such a short format of the game
8.4 Obed McCoy to Rovman Powell, SIX! BANG! length ball on the middle stump angling away, Powell clears his front foot and absolutely plummets that back over the bowler's head for a huge maximum!
8.4 Obed McCoy to Rovman Powell, NO BALL! A chest high full toss, Powell looks to upper cut it but sends it high into the night sky. The fielder at short third man takes the catch.
8.3 Obed McCoy to Lendl Simmons, DROPPED! OH DEAR! Length ball on the body, Simmons miscues the pull and the fielder at deep backward square leg runs in but completely misjudges the catch!
8.2 Obed McCoy to Lendl Simmons, SIX! BOOM! Back of a length ball on the middle stump angling away, Simmons shuffles across, rocks back and pulls that away for a huge maximum over mid-wicket! The Warriors are in this contest!
